Lisa Blunt Rochester is a U.S. Senator who has represented Delaware since 2025. She was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2017 to 2025. When she was elected in 2016, she became the first woman and the first person of color to be elected to the House from the state of Delaware. She is one of only five Black women senators in U.S. history.
